Another a great week of mma news is in the book. This weeks edition of The MMA Weekly Review sponsored by Blog.MMAVictor is a great edition. I received a lot of submissions this week, but one really got my attention.
Bisping Needs The Respect Beaten Into Him
Michael Bisping is without a doubt the most disrespectful fighter in the UFC, but after what he has been saying, he might be the most disrespectful person in the world. Bisping is a good fighter (not as good as he thinks) but is lacking being a decent Brit/human being. This is the same man who had excuses after Hendo knocked him out and even had excuses for the Miller fight even though he still won. Then he is going to sit there and for no reason start talking crap about Mark Munoz and questioning Chris Weidman’s contendership. You haven’t fought since January and should shut your mouth. You’re not even a top 2 middleweight and I cannot wait for Brian Stann to beat the respect out of you. What’s your excuse going to be when you’re looking at the lights in the Toronto arena from your back?

SILVA VS. EVANS FOR MAIN EVENT At UFC 153?
We just found out this last week that Bonnar and Anderson Silva have stepped up for the main event at UFC 153. How does the UFC think that Silva and Bonnar is a good match-up? I mean, Bonnar isn’t even a top 10 or 5 contender in any weight-class. On the other hand Rashad Evans is and has even been thinking about a drop down to 185. So if Silva is already stepping up to 205 why not give him a true tested opponent in Evans? At least Evans has the credentials as being a champion and being in title fights. What does Bonnar know? How to get punched in the head? Well he is going to get his chance at UFC 153 to play the spoiler, meanwhile Rashad Evans is sitting around laughing as much as we are at this stupid choice for a fight, let alone a main event.

THE ANSWER VS. THE KOREAN ZOMBIE NEEDS TO HAPPEN
With Aldo hurt, off the shelf and Chad Mendes in limbo, the best choice right now would be to put Edgar against Jung. Jung is coming off a three fight winning streak and the destruction of Dustin Poirier. With Edgar’s willingness to stay on the UFC 153 card, “The Zombie” would of been a great choice for a replacement. This fight would be both great for the featherweight division and for the fans. If Aldo is out longer than he thinks, then what a better matchup than The Answer versus The Zombie?

Bonnar/Silva PPV Worthy?
The UFC has a lot of fighters that say they are company men, but we all know that they only come a dime a dozen in mma. I give Silva and Bonnar respect for stepping up for their company, but this fight makes no sense. First of all, we all know that Bonnar has been looking for some sort of “superfight” before he retires but this is ridiculous. How does the UFC think that the No. 1 pound-for-pound fighter in the world matches up to the 27th ranked light heavyweight? And second of all, Silva only took this fight after Chris Weidman signed to face Tim Boetsch knowing that once Weidman was signed elsewhere that the UFC wouldn’t be able to make that fight. Imagine a Anderson Silvs versus Chris Weidman fight in Rio for the middleweigt title. That would of been a PPV worthy fight. This fight is FX or FOX worthy at best.
