Yep, you heard it hear MMAVictor.com fans, rumor has it the lovely Chandella Powell was released from her Octagon Girl duties this week for failing to disclose her past risqué modeling work and old modeling alias. Confusing right? That was until I did a little online search for “Mariah Ashton Danni” and it all fell into place one click at a time.
Now, before everyone goes tweeting away at Dana White complaining about how its a double standard with Brittany Palmer in Playboy – here me out. Think about it from the business perspective. The UFC and Playboy have a great working business relationship that spans several successful years. So what was the UFC supposed to do when they find out the next logical UFC Playboy model not only lied but already did some beyond risqué spreads? Simple answer if you ask me.
Again, I know, not everyone will agree, but at the end of the day Chandella failed to discole information that could have easily been stated well before her first paycheck was cashed. So sadly, the blame only falls on her.
On a wishful thinking note, I guess now we can all hope for a new reality show revolving around finding the next Octagon Girl? Something tells me FuelTV will gladly carry it!

Not exactly true. She was a Playboy Club Bunny in Vegas before the UFC and was in an article in 2007 that talked about the Club in Playboy. She was not a front cover or featurette piece like Brittany or Rachelle, which I was implying. Good catch though!
