800k, 225k, 800k, 485k, 290k, 280 – Now, what do those numbers mean? Simple, they are the estimated buyrates for the last 6 UFC PPV’s. Honestly, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize these are awesome numbers! I will even go as far as saying, they dwarf the WWE’s last 6 PPV’s and that is saying something!
Now, I know, it is not all Comcast’s fault that people in Boston and hundreds of other major cities are living without FuelTV on the dial, but after seeing these buyrate numbers isn’t it time for a change? We are not talking about 20k worth of viewers, we are talking about the potential for millions of people! Remember, PPV’s cost upwards of $55 per viewing and in essence FuelTV would be free for subscribers. So, I would expect these numbers to be even higher for free Fuel UFC events! Seriously, Comcast – isn’t increased viewership and ad-revenue a good thing?
Then again, Comcast is talking about raising rates in the greater Boston area by about 3-5% in 2012, so I guess they don’t care about the UFC fans. Sounds to me like they just want to make more money while forgetting about the customer. You know, the people who drive the business and bring in the profits. Whatever, I guess I have only one option tonight if I want to win this battle – anyone know the number for DirectTV?
If you are like me and are struggling to see Sanchez vs Ellenberger tonight on FuelTV call Comcast tonight to request the channel!
